^^^ Per my longer post of the 31st, they've been selling out daily, and for some reason their computer system can't track distribution center fulfillment for this fuel; but they know that the warehouse(s) have thousands of cannisters. Your best bet is to call the store shortly after they open and/or check online early in the day.

Cold coffee??? that alone is worth bringing fuel LOL! |
That's exactly what I was thinking. I don't really "cook" per se, but we do boil water to add to the dehydrated food. And for coffee, of course. |

Called the REI flagship store today at 10:30 (Seattle). They had the 8 oz MSR cannisters in stock. You can order online for curbside pickup. Looks like you must pickup same day, though, as I wasn't given an option. They email you when it's ready. |
Good to know. I'll plan to do this next month upon arrival at Seattle. I also bought a lindal valve in case they only thing they have are the tall green coleman propane cans, and a butane-to-isobutane adapter in case our only option is to get a butane can. |

Just got mine. The curbside pickup sure beats having to go into that parking garage!

"Sterno" brand Iso Butane / Propane mix 8-ounce can
Fred Meyer - Bridgeport Way SW - $3.49 each. They had about 7 or 8 cans. I got one.

^^^ That's what I ended up using last year when my Peak 1 disintegrated during a test the night before a trip. I dashed to Freddies and bought a few of those cans, plus the nifty little Sterno pop-up aluminum wind screen with grate on top to hold your water pot. Worked OK in a pinch. Kinda slow.

Sportsmans Warehouse in Silverdale had some when I was in there in Saturday. I had been there the week before and it was obvious they had both sold a bunch and gotten more in in the meantime. That is a spot were you could probably stop on your way out to the Olympcs, 80skeys.

Awesome tip, thanks. I'll mark that location on my calendar. |

Lots of Olicamp 100g canisters at Arlberg Sports in Wenatchee. And some larger MSR expedition canisters there also. |

No shortage of fuel canisters at the Seattle REI. All those boxes in the back are full and circle around the fireplace. |

Northgate Big 5 was totally stocked up again. So this was exactly like the great TP shortage of spring 2020, the prepers panicked and hoarded, then the shelves were restocked.
