Here is a picture from late 80’s early 90’s at Hyak. Trail Crew days. The guy holding the saw never ran it. But wanted a picture with him looking like he did... Daryl and I didn’t care.

Very cool photos Lotus54! Your picture of you before the brushing work reminds me of what I saw in the jungle sections. I have a better understanding of how come the trails are brushed out as widely as they are now (I think Ski posted some photos of a coastal trail brush job some years back that were similar in the before and after appearance).

I hiked to the small summit with Olympus views (point 4,304) on Saturday coming from Mink Lake trail and heading SW on Bogachiel Trail. Great views of Olympus and the High Divide area from there. Didn't see anyone past Mink Lake. Good alternative to the crowded trails heading elsewhere from Sol Duc.
