Not lines of people (though that too).
At the west end of Snow Lake are two lines visible under the water, kind of in the shape of a V. They didn't appear to move, so I assume it's some kind of underwater topography - but that seems like a strange pair of "sharp ridges". Any other thoughts as to what it could be? Have any alien spacecraft gone missing in Snow Lake?

Possibility 1) Seeing as Snow Lake is a cirque lake formed by an alpine glacier perhaps they are relics of glaciation such as eskers. Eskers are usually serpentine. But glaciers often have fast moving streams of water on them that accumulate rocks. When the glacier is gone the rocks stay in the former line of the streambed. I would expect the lines of an esker to be in the same direction as the flow of the glacier which doesn't seem to be the case in your photo.
Possibility 2) The excavation of the cirque by glaciation happened at a different rate for different rock. The lines you are seeing are dikes of much harder rock that abraded at a slower rate than the surrounding bedrock hence they appear as ridges.
That is the best an armchair geologist can come up with.

FWIW, I have a 2008 photo taken from a similar vantage point and on a similarly sunny day and they don't show up.

Underwater alien ship. Only explanation for people hiking up wedding dresses and taking selfies.

Yeah, and they don't show up in satellite photos either. Might depend on the clarity of the water on a particular day I suppose? Or maybe Cthulu is rising from the deep...
If it is just something on the surface, it's strange how it didn't move or deform much over the course of half an hour or so...

Curious thing!
I don't think the lines are a lake- bottom feature and not related to any glaciation or periglacial process.. They appear to be on the lake surface and as others have said don't show in other photos including on the Google Earth timeline.
Actually, to me the diverging lines look just like the 'wake' from a swimming bird or mammal, but if so where is the culprit? Did a goose or duck just take off, unnoticed by the photographer?

I have photos taken 30 minutes apart that shows them in the same spot (roughly... different vantage so it's hard to tell if they have moved). So I doubt it's something like a bird taking off.
Could possibly have been someone that was there earlier in a slimy kayak or something, and then the slime wore off so the trail stopped?

Well I, for one, am not falling for this rouse. You can't trick me into hiking to Snow Lake. Even on a weekday in the rain

It's great to hear from you again. I'm in awe of all the stuff (mostly backcountry skiing) you've done in the past. Hope all is well.
