I'm sure you've heard some funny reviews complaining about our natural treasures.  A talented designer is collecting the best of them, turning the complaints into posters, and providing all of us with a good laugh.  You should go have a look at Subpar Parks.

(Ok this is really a disinformation campaign to discourage use and get us some solitude.  That's why these are on instagram.  We need somebody to do this for local trails.  Spider meadows: full of spiders.  Wonderland trail: we had to walk all day just so we could sleep in the dirt.)

We all listened to some dad whine and moan for twenty minutes waiting on the boardwalk for Old Faithful. It’s does as usual. Guy says I (!) drove 1,200 miles to see that?

Glad I didn’t have to drive 1,200 miles back home with him.

I find it interesting to people watch at busy areas.

Hiking back up out of the Grand Canyon, some French people would pass me, then I'd pass them as they stopped to smoke....repeat.  Many different languages to listen to.  A couple from India scored a cabin at the morning lottery and offered to share it with us as it started raining.  We all had rain gear and suitable tents so declined the offer.

You don't hike or go to those places for solitude.

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

There are places in Grand Canyon where you can walk for days without seeing anyone, it is a huge park.

Yes, I'm sure there are.   We went the busy route as do most people. That's why it is busy.

There's a dirty joke in the Rainier one.
