Spent the weekend in Trout Lake so that we could enjoy the area. Fall is a great time to visit - the bugs are gone and the colors are beautiful. After spending Saturday spelunking off the beaten track, we opted for an official trail on Sunday. We parked at the Cultus Campground TH and followed trail 33 up to the junction at Cultus Lake. From there we followed trail 24 over the shoulder of Lemei Rock to a viewpoint of Wapiki Lake and Mt. Adams. Smoke from the Big Hollow Fire was visible to the SW, but fortunately it did not drift from the valley. After a lunch break, we headed back down the trail and took the junction to Deep Lake. Enjoyed this peaceful spot before heading back down to the TH. The drive home was long but we were treated to a fabulous sunset over the Cispus River. Great day to be out.

Great photos! I spent a wet couple days with my dad, uncle, and cousin in the Indian Heaven area last year about this time. It looked kinda like that! I guess it gets crowded over there in prime season so it was nice to visit when it's a little more quiet. I hope you had a similar experience!
