You had me singing out the window and howling at the moon, way back when. That year in Durango. So many great songs.
It is as though I had read a divine text, written into the world itself, not with letters but rather with essential objects, saying:
Man, stretch thy reason hither, so thou mayest comprehend these things. Johannes Kepler

Yeah, he's great. Got to know of him by being a fan of Jimmy Buffett. Jerry Jeff has been on the soundtrack of quite a few drives to/from hikes.

"Don't worry buddy, there's nothin' to fear, just going where the rivers flow"
Rest in Peace Jerry Jeff Walker.

A guy in my neighborhood gives a solo, outdoor concert once a week in his yard, attended by a handful of neighbors. He did a Jerry Jeff tribute this week, and I heard this song for the first time and found it absolutely hilarious:
Between every two pines is a doorway to the new world. - John Muir

^^^^ That's a Jesse Winchester song, He grew up in Louisiana/Mississippi/ moved to Memphis as a teenager, that's his childhood. He went to the same high school as my brother did. He was a very good student and ended up at a small private college in the NE. He then moved to Canada in the late 60s. . . and came back when Carter pardoned the "draft dodgers". Winchester was also a friend of Buffet's, and a local hero in the Memphis where I grew up.
