Anybody know the story behind this? It's been there for weeks.

Don't know the area, but boats are frequently dumped and there probably is not a trailer?
I read on here last week about a boat being chained to a tree and a lake that had a short hike in, does the FS typically remove a boat left at a lake eventually?

Do they pick up off the beaten path?

You're right there's no trailer.
I just reported it. By phone because their email validation is broken. I reported that too.

If it's the one near Exit 47, I'm pretty sure King County knows about it. It was tagged "KCSO" at some point, although from photos in WH&C, it has also been artistically (and not so artistically) repainted.

Yep it's the one at exit 47. Didn't realize it had already been reported, although I suspected it had to be given how long it's been there.

I was wondering what the boat was doing so far from any lake with a boat launch. But it's pretty close to the highway so not too off the beaten path.
That section of the road has been overwhelmingly crowded recently!

I see a lot of boats free on craigslist but it's extremely rare to find one with a trailer which is actually worth something.

Not really, it's been an issue for awhile. Got bounced around several agencies. The Marine fellows finally got a big enough trailer to fit the 28 foot hull (hulk) on. Towed it to the landfill.
Yep, your tax dollars at work. But the boat is gone!!

If that was in Alaska or Northern BC, I would suspect someone left something inside very appealing to a grizzly.🐻

Here in Washington you can hide meth in a vehicle and have the same result.
