I've been enjoying this podcast sponsored by Gaia GPS. The most recent one with Bruce Temper on Avalanche Safety was really informative. Give it a listen.

Thanks for the recommendation, I haven't heard of this podcast. I just listened to the latest episode and thought it was a great intro talk on avy safety. Bruce's 'Staying Alive' book is very good and I definitely recommend it, but it is a bit technical for someone just getting into it. I haven't read his other book ('Avalanche Essentials') but it sounds less technical and better for someone to start out with. Looking forward to listening to more episodes!
I'd also recommend 'The Sharp End' podcast which recounts accidents out in the mountains. It focuses more on climbing and mountaineering, but I'm sure anyone interested in the outdoors can learn something from the stories.
And it's been a while since I've listened, but 'The Dirtbag Diaries' was a good one.
