The Recreation and Conservation Office of Washington announced that is has created a new map that allows you to see lands managed by local, state and federal governments.
The Public Lands Inventory Web app displays more than 18.8 million acres of public lands used for recreation or wildlife habitat in Washington. Information also is displayed about the type of use, owner, legislative district, year of acquisition, purchase price and acreage.
Yeah I zoomed in on Swanson Lakes out east. Its DFWL land and there's even a even a headquarters facility there, but its all in white on the map.
Maybe some "state lands" are privately owned but the state leases them?
Can anyone actually show evidence of an inaccuracy?
There's a parcel on the CCC flats that has been owned by the USFS for at least a decade, based on the King County parcel viewer which I have always found to be relatively up-to-date and accurate. The RCO land ownership map shows that parcel as part of private land inholdings that are next door. It would be helpful if the RCO map showed the parcel boundaries.
