Tide Chart Question: In 2020 Dot's Fishing Guide Tide Charts the entry for today, December 4, 2020, has 3 empty cells for Port Townsend, WA. There is a high tide listed for 8:10 am at 9.3 feet, and the next three cells are ellipses(...) The NOAA FAQ tries to explain one empty cell but nothing for 3 empty cells. Can anyone explain 3 empty cells in a daily tide chart prediction? Tom PS: I know the Dot's charts are probably not suitable for marine navigation, but I have used them many many times for hiking/canoeing and they accurate. PSS: Please don't tell me they emptied the bay for cleaning.

The following low tide is a -1.14 after midnight (12:29). So you only have one high tide on Dec 4 and a very big ebb.

I highly recommend JTides, a freeware tide app: https://arachnoid.com/JTides/ For me, having a graph eliminates any potential confusion. And it also shows sunset, sunrise, and twilight duration.
