Curious if anyone has good ideas for winter drive up locations and viewpoints to do some photography? Washington Pass overlook and Sunrise at MRNP are awesome but inaccessible during winter.

Paradise Hurricane Ridge Mt Baker ski area (would require snowshoes and hiking a couple miles along the snow covered road to Austin Pass, dodging skiers from the ski area) Snoqualmie Pass -- there are several locations in the Summit West ski area parking lot with good views of Guye Peak and Snoqualmie mtn. Also from the Hyak sno-park there can be good views up the Gold Creek Valley and of Rampart Ridge.

Richmond Beach has some awesome winter views of the Olympics across the sound.

Since I have no expectations of forgiveness, I don't do it in the first place. That loop hole needs to be closed to everyone.

The reduced humidity during winter makes for better sky photography, the Milky Way always seems clearer on a cold clear night.

Saddle Mountains over by Othello has a good drive up with views of the Columbia Basin and Cascades. Look for direction to Wahatis Peak.
