Sasse Mountain. Mostly cloudy with cold wind up high on the ridge. Used snowshoes from 4800ft to 5700ft. Only 1-2 ft of snow on the higher slopes. Snow was solid on way up but postholed coming down. The "Not So Sasse" Peak offered much better views than 150-ft higher Sasse Mt. The view of Hex Mt was blocked by low clouds. today. Stumbled onto an un-known trail with recent steps in the snow. This route ended up being a more direct way to the summit than our planned route. The route was 3500 feet gain and 6.25 miles total.

The road does have a big shoulder section there that is plowed. I do not believe it requires the SnoPark pass.
