ISSAQUAH, Wash. (AP) — The King County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a body was discovered at the popular Poo Poo Point trailhead in Issaquah.
Authorities received a 911 call just before 2 a.m. Sunday reporting that a body was found at the trailhead, KING5 News reported. The sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit was called to the scene to investigate what was initially characterized as a suspicious death and was searching the area near the trailhead for vehicles and other clues, a sheriff’s spokesperson said.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office on Monday identified Daren Olin as the 52-year-old man found dead in Issaquah on Sunday; he died from a gunshot wound to the head and his death was ruled a homicide.
No further information has been released.
