The grooming is better at Cabin Creek, but there are some fun hills and a lot of great scenery here.
I hope a lot of nwhikers took advantage. We haven't had this much snow in a long time.

I had to work. My skiing was done in a car, between Lynnwood and Seattle. I got my exercise though....

I skied from my house to Jackson Park, which is about a mile and half each way. The first time I only took off the skis once (on the busiest street). Jackson Park itself was great. It is a very big park (I guess that's common for golf courses) and great for skiing. I did several YoYo trips as well as exploring pretty much all of the park. I ended up doing the loop from my house three times -- twice Saturday and once yesterday.
I saw a lot of people out and about with skis. Mostly skinny, but there were folks carrying downhill skis, and a handful with backcountry.

I completed the View Ridge Ski Traverse on Saturday and it involved zero driving, no parking hassles, no obnoxious snowmobiles and zero avvy danger!

I wandered the snowy forest lowlands of Lake Forest Park yesterday. saw about 12 snowmen and 2 snow bears. And a snow-something; not sure what that was. But kids were laughing and that's all that matters.

Somebody was grinning at me yesterday like he was about to go home and tell his wife she'll never believe what he just saw.

I practiced my XC skiing around the 'hood. At one point a little boy on skis appeared and said, "excuse me, do you recommend the road or the sidewalk?" Which I thought was a funny question re skiing.

Saturday morning I did a 6 mile tour of NW Seattle. The snow was pretty good. I crossed 80th and 85th in both directions without taking off my skis. Of course I put a trip report on my website with 18 photos.
