Has anyone been along the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie lately? I am wondering how low the snow levels are these days--especially toward Dingford Creek and beyond. I did see this report recently. Plus I noted that cascadeclimber did Mailbox on Sunday and reported this:

Mailbox Sunday. Started up around 11:00 after waiting a few minutes for a parking spot (the upper lot gate is closed). I was surprised to find so much snow at the trailhead.
Thanks, ~z

Some snow lingering around Garfield ledges and the snoqualmie lake th. Went fishing and parked on dingford about a mile past stegosaurus butte yesterday. Obviously dingford is a mess like always but especially after the snow melted and softened the ground. I Got stuck for a second in my forester at the first chute with the large dip in the road (47.54862, -121.52434) so be aware of that unless you have a high clearance vehicle. Otherwise, could probably get all the way to Dutch Miller with minimal snow along the snoq river.

Awesome. Thanks, Noheaperture. I really appreciate it. I went up there today. I put up a mini-report (no pictures) in the Lazy Trip Report thread. z

Thanks for the beta, Zephyr. For this weekend, would you suggest Snowshoes, Spikes, or plain ole boots and gaiters past Dingford? How were things on Middle Fork between Dingford and the Taylor bridge?

Check my Lazy Trip Report as noted above. See the link? Here's the weather report. Looks like more melting out due to rain. The elevation gain from Dingford to Goldmeyer is minimal. Good boots and gaiters should be fine. I didn't go beyond the turn to Goldmeyer. ~z
