I 'retired' from Boeing Computer Services in mid-1980s and have worked from home ever since. Love it! I did many mountain trips during the week and then worked weekends.
For many years I did a type of real estate investing. That has morphed into the current consulting gig of producing online property line maps for clients. https//propertylinemaps.com
BTW, some of you likely know about services such as onX, LandGlide and others. They will sell you a chip or download that displays all the parcel likes in a county/state. Usually that data also includes attributes such as owner's name.
Guess what - The parcel line component of that data is merely a copy of the parcel line data maintained by the various counties. *Many* counties and some states have that parcel line data freely available to anyone as a layer on their GIS server.
Since I am working with the legal description for a single parcel, my work product is typically more accurate than the county GIS parcel lines.
