So this was the second time I've hiked Barclay in the last 3 weeks.
This time we decided to cross the bridge.
The blowdowns after the bridge, that were a pain in the butt last fall, are even
more of a pain now (dangerously so) with all the snow.
What stopped us ,was about 1/2 mile from the lake there is
that avalanche chute. Which normally isn't an issue.
But this time it was 3 meters high and 15 or so meters
wide. (I've never seen it so massive). On top of the debris was
15 cms of new snow.
My husky didn't want to cross it. So neither did I.

The road is snowed to about a mile from the TH.
After that the trail to the bridge is snowy. But no problem.

Beings as Barclay is just 25 minutes from home; it has become
my default quickie hike.
I'm sure I will be back.
No doubt that debris pile (greatly reduced) is still going to be around  come July.
But by then it shouldn't be a issue.
