I saw a Mitsubishi Mirage just now. Had a hard time convincing myself that it wasn’t a real Mitsubishi.
-------------- Life is too short to take too seriously.
Being afraid of dying is not synonymous with being afraid of not living. The former is so occupied with avoiding death that he never truly lives. The later would rather risk death in the hope of truly living.
There used to be an auto wrecking yard in Silver Lake (Everett) and owned by an older Vietnam Vet named Ray. When I first went there he asked if I saw what his sign out front said. I said I guess so we went out to look and on the corner it read "American cars only, no Japs!".
His voice mail for his business was so funny I used to call it just to get a laugh...it said "You have reached Ray's auto wrecking, American cars only, I was riding my bike and was run over by two floozies in a Mitsubishi....hit and run it was and now I have steel plate in my head".
I went in there one in July, it was about 80 degrees outside and had a roaring fire going in his potbelly stove, sitting there behind his desk with no shirt on. He was definitely an eccentric and racist, but otherwise seemed ok.
Sadly, it is all a housing development now.
-------------- Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.
