Does anyone know if there are any issues with her forest service road or the trail?

folks have been climbing it all summer long so it seems good. Check the USFS website; they may be closing the trail for blasting, but that's usually in August. On the other hand, they cancel when fire danger is high....

Any idea how soon we might know if they cancel? Planning on being in that area during the closure, and if I don't have to go in via Little Wenatchee, I'd prefer it.

If there's a burn ban on the Forest then it will definitely be canceled. If there's no burn ban, then cancelations could take place if it's raining, which isn't conducive to blasting either.
Basically, it's a crap shoot
Here's what I found on their site:
7/12/21 snow bridges still holding in the gullies before reaching the Pacific Crest Trail *ALERT* The trail will be CLOSED for long-term maintenance August 5-11 and August 18-24 with 6 days between closures for hiker access
Andd they are serious about the closure, when it goes. They'll make people wait; I've run across folks who turned around & came out via Pilot Ridge; which is fine, unless your ride is waiting at the N Fk Sauk trailhead that morning....
