Anyone got any cool snowshoes you like to do at Mt. Rainier this time of year? Looking for something that's gonna be a good workout and have good views of the mountain, but I dunno if I want to go up to Panorama Pt again. Actually ... can you go up to Panorama Pt now?

From Paradise use the road at the end of the parking lot to access the ridge leading towards Cowlitz Rocks. https://www.williswall.com/willis-wall-blog/2020/3/19/mrnp-cowlitz-rocks?rq=cowlitz

Depending on weather, a trip to Panorama point is often an enjoyable outing. With clear weather the views are fantastic. This time of year, the snow can be firm enough in the morning that snowshoes aren't needed. However frequently, warmer temperatures in the afternoon results in sinking to the knee or more without snowshoes. A loop trip following the Skyline trail can be quite fun. The loop option travels less populated trails, so you'll need stronger navigation and snow safety skills compared to doing an out and back outing along the Camp Muir approach route
