I was talking to a patroller , who has worked at the Pass for years,
and after checking his info.
He said: Starting 22 April we will be allowed to go inbound.
Last year Vail was kicking us out.
Even tho' they were not operating.
So there ya go

Inbound here refers to skiers/hikers/etc that
want to go UP the ski slopes.
However:
I just went by the Pass Thursday and they still have
their electronic sign out saying:
NO SLEDDING. NO UPHILL TRAVEL.
That's not right.
I'm going to check with the FS (whose land it is. ie public land)
and see if they can really keep us out.
I'll let ya all know.

Anyone seeking to travel uphill is required to call the trails hotline (206-812-7847) for current updates on potential restrictions. Traffic volume, special events, avalanche hazards, and other on mountain activities will be considered when restricting uphill travel.

My interpretation of the message is that uphill travel is permitted whenever the lifts aren't spinning and they aren't using winch cats to groom.
Since the main page of the website now says "Closed For The Season"... I'm wondering where the gnashing of teeth is coming from.
