I did not find any trapped rats at the pass, or a ton of thorns, nor was the largest lake chucked of its white snow cover, but it was a fine day for exploring. Decided to close the loop with an adventurous veggie belay schwack down from the lower lake. 1 day was not long enough to savor it all.

Nein. No fish either but I'm sure they were just hiding.

Really nice! I have Friday off and was actually eyeing this for a three day adventure before you even posted this. It looks as pretty as I expected :] I would guess the fish are just small and the stocking reports are a little behind. I can only imagine the brush coming down from the outlet.

klar, from a brush bashing perspective it wasn't too bad. I've swam in much worse, just needed to get down before dark so didn't have the luxury of time and took my lumps, opting to stay closer to the vine maple for the secure hand holds. As always would be easier to find a good line heading up vs. coming down blind. Next time I'd probably do it in reverse.

Went up there August 1st last year, the lake was mostly frozen! Such a beautiful area!
