Anyone been up the road this year? I read one report from last year that it was derivable to the Boulder Lake TH but it was pretty overgrown so not advised to bring a newer vehicle. Not sure whether to bring the old beater vehicle or a bike.

Found this WTA report from a few weeks back. Looks like it's in rough shape. https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/trip-reports/trip_report-2021-08-01-9625078385

Beater car and bring loppers. The road beyond the bridge needs a good brushing. It is a one way road with the alder filling in the roadway. Good luck if you meet another car going the other way!

Plan to head up that way myself soon. I have a beater car but it’s pretty low clearance, doable?

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

I drove this road to the end in a corolla before, it was not too bad, just narrow.

Thanks, then my old Celica should be fine. While we are on the road subject, anyone been up Coal lake road lately and if so has the slide blocking the road just prior to the lake been cleared yet? I doubt it.

I was up there about 3 weeks ago and the slide/washout was still there.

I'd say driving the road isn't a problem. 12 cars parked at the trailhead when I got there. Fortunately there was a spot off to the side where I could park.

Have coverage on hurricane ridge so thought I'd dial this in for anyone interested.

Wow! Getting some attention. I've never seen more than 2 or 3 vehicles.
