Hi all,
We will be on the Olympic Peninsula during mid week in a couple of weeks and looking for a good snowshoe that is not out of Hurricane Ridge since the gate is only open on the weekends. Any suggestions? Anyone been on the Lake Angeles Trail as a snowshoe? Other ideas? We are experienced snowshoers but we will have a beginner with us. She is pretty intrepid tho. Thanks in advance, Carrie

This is a long one, and might be better on skis to have a quick way back.. but you can walk and then eventually snowshoe the Deer Park road. Use caution driving as near the Deer Park closure things can get hairy if there has been low elevation snow. I imagine getting to Deer Park would be quite rewarding in winter.
Thank you so much! Will save this for future reference but we have changed our plans now and will be at Rainer instead. Appreciate your input however! Carrie
