Moody weather today near the pass. I was tempted to keep driving east toward the sun, but decided to go for Tinkham due to time constraints. Left the TH around 3pm and made quick time to Mirror Lake, where it seemed a bit more crowded than usual. Found the Tinkham bootpath just past the outlet and began the uphill grunt. Some spots were steeper than I expected. Views opened up 400' below the east summit, but by the time I reached the summit proper, cloud cover had returned along with some strong, cold wind gusts. Headed over to the west summit to sign the Mounties register - a new one is needed if anyone is headed that way any time soon. Hung around for 30 min, hoping for a break in the clouds before heading back down. Back at the car at 7, which gave me just enough time to get to the brewery before last call
The best part is definitely the anteater tongue sticking out. Good timing!
