There have been changes. Not sure when exactly, but I'm assuming they changed their business model after reopening during this covid thing. They are no longer a second run theater. Now getting new movies, looks like mostly indie or Oscar buzz type movies, but a few blockbusters. Still cheaper than other theaters, but price has gone up a bit--looks like $6. I haven't been yet, just thought I'd throw it out as an FYI for local movie watchers.

Sounds like the Crest Theatre I took my wife to 40 years ago (I grew up in Shoreline). My daughter and I went to see "Free Solo" there before the big awards. Used to be a big Prarie Market across the street to the South which was a big grocery warehouse where you wrote the prices on items with a grease pencil. Good times.

I grew up a block west of the Crest and remember the Prairie Market as well. SR

I'm just glad they are hanging in there. We have lost way too many independent theaters. I have fond memories of the Crest. Cheap tickets, even cheap snacks. You would get there early, so if the seat was too lumpy, you could scoot over a few places. Good times. I can't wait for this pandemic to be (fully) over.

The Edmonds Theater has survived so far as well.
