Thanks again for all the comments! Gary, I always like hearing about your earlier trips to these places. I think you must have mentioned the Barnes to Chicago camp route in a previous report, because at some point I made a mental note of that as a possible emergency exit route if the snow finger was out. I'm happy not to have needed it this time! Just wanted to add, be sure to treat your water up there! I have a tendency not to when I'm up high and/or the water is coming right off a glacier or snowfield, but it got me this time. Probably should have thought twice about it after seeing that poopy snowfield on Stephen
