Looking to return to Ross lake for a couple nights in September but bringing the family this time. What's the trail condition like, as in is it well used/not too rocky to bring one of those Costco wagons? Would be easier to put my toddler in there along with the food and such instead of backpacks. Thanks!

I did this trail in April. I found it to be very well used, and pretty rocky. I was rolling a kayak on portage wheels. It needed to be horsed over some rocky bulges several times...so the wagon-o-kids may need spotting. Plenty of smooth rollable sections but the the rocky parts are gnarly for rolling something.

I brought a rolling luggage thing down that trail once. I had to invent several new curse words to do it.
