Here they are on October 20, 2018, about a mile north of Mica Lake, in rugged, steep terrain.
Chief Pilot Bill Quistorf and co-pilot Einar Espeland risked their lives in bad weather and with low fuel to rescue my friend from Germany, Katarina Groene. Notice the limb under the skid closest to where they were standing? Einer, the co-pilot, jumped out of the hovering helicopter to place the limb where it would help provide a flat landing spot and Chief Pilot Bill could set the helicopter down safely. All in a days work, they said. To me they are true heroes!

It's a bummer when YouTube channels mark their videos as "for kids" when they're really not. It makes turning notifications on for their uploads impossible.
