Polls are now closed. Congrats to the top 4 in each category and thanks to all who participated in the contest this year! To order a calendar click HERE. Best mixbook coupon code is currently RPTWBCE1 (50% off and free standard shipping). With that code medium calendars are $14.49 and large calendar are $19.99 plus tax. Would highly recommend ordering sooner rather than later if you want calendars before Christmas! For additional discounts click thru from giving assistant or another cash back portal after adding calendars to your cart. We do not control the pricing of calendars or get a kickback from purchases, so order if you want a physical calendar or to give as gifts, but the best way to support NWH is to just remember to use our amazon affiliate link (at the top or bottom of the page) when you make purchases from amazon. See here for more information.

After a 1 year hiatus, the annual NWHikers.net calendar contest lives again! Feel free to submit photos from 2021 or 2020 since we did not have a calendar contest last year. Hopefully this will provide for a more robust calendar with increased opportunity to participate. Unfortunately, no social event again this year but hopefully in 2022!

up.gif As usual I can't participate, but it's always fun to look at all the pretty pictures and see how what I like matches up with what other like. (Past contests have shown me that my likes are quite different, and sometimes deservedly so.)

Awesome! I'm assuming that photos can only be from Washington, Oregon, or Idaho? Also, are people allowed to be in photographs (not as the subject but more in the background) or should photos be nature-only?

In the submission thread there are links to previous calendars to get an idea of what type of photos tend to place in the top 2 and make their way into the calendar. End of day the voters decide.

Thanks Tom for resurrecting! I always enjoy the various places folks get out to and two years means we should have plenty of great submissions.

One entry per category, as many as thirteen? In the past we only allowed six total.

Yes, removed that limit a couple years ago to encourage participation in months with fewer submissions so as not to penalize anyone for contributing in those months.

What constitutes "PNW hiking related" is up to the voters to decide.

My computer died. I'm researching my portions and saving my pennies. It will be a few weeks before I'm able to add my entries. I'm glad the contest is back on and I'm looking forward to bribing the judges. wink.gif

Just a reminder to get your photos submitted! The submission deadline has been extended 1 day (to midnight, Nov 16th) for procrastinators and to allow everyone a chance to review their submissions.

The problem with getting friends one of these calendars is the quality of the photos. I was not quite believed when I said they weren’t available last year. I have been getting real life phone calls ensuring I get them one this year. I got approached at a funeral reception. Yipes.

Help! I'm trying to post a photo and it turns out like this:
I had to change it from .HEIC to .jpg. I don't know what I did wrong, it looks fine on my computer?
