We think the trail sign may have said "Diesel Donkey". My memory want's to say, "Steam Donkey"? Found on the north side of the Cape Meares, near Tillamook, Oregon. From the entrance to Cape Meares State Scenic Viewpoint, walk the gated Old Cape Meares Rd. .06 miles. Follow a lightly used unmarked trail on the left a short distance.
