The whole “hit a deer at 150 game over” thing…if I have to explain my response then it isn’t funny. You seem to be tuned in to snarky obtuse humor.

Yeahsureyabetcha. I recall a media report a few years ago about the WSP running a speed trap on the Preston Grade and nabbing three motorcyclists, clocked at 105, 115 and 138 mph. The 105 mph guy was released with a citation, the other two were taken into custody.

Im still here because I stopped riding like that. Lol. One time I was coming back from taco Thursday at the alki tavern. As I rounded the I-5 I-90 interchange I was riding 175 mph and as I entered the tunnel I saw blue lights in my mirror. I pulled over on mercer island and waited for the state patrol officer. As he walked up to me he was laughing. He asked me why I stopped. i told him that riding fast was one thing, out running a police officer was something i wouldnt do. He took my information, and when we walked back he said thank you and asked how fast i was going. when i told him 175 he laughed again and asked me if he let me go would ride the speed limit home. I said yes and i did ride the speed limit home. Ive ridden really fast most of my life. I have 55 speeding tickets because i always stopped. ive found that if youre honest and treat police with respect they will do that same. Generally double the speed limit is reckless driving and its off to jail. I was always lucky. The fastest ive ever ridden is 250mph on a turbo Suzuki Hayabusa. hockeygrin.gif

Yeasureyabetcha. The to put BPJ boasts in context, here is an article from last April discussing whether speeds of 225 mph on the current crop of Superbikes is too fast for safety by professional riders on closed track conditions. https://www.rideapart.com/news/498345/new-motogp-top-speed-record-safety/

Crazy that Washington doesn't have a points system. Just a couple reckless driving tickets would leave you with a suspended license in Michigan. I've heard multiple people talk about high numbers of tickets now. Is it just a poor person tax here?

That's precisely the circumstances here in Washington, there is loophole in the way traffic tickets are issued in this state that allows many traffic tickets to be dismissed or greatly reduced "on a technicality" so much so there are attorneys that specialize in "ticket fixing" My colleague with the hopped up Audi R8 has one on retainer. https://www.mucklestone.com/

I feel so inferior, the fastest I have gone on a bike is 120 mph, from one end of the Broadway bridge over the Snohomish river to the other on my Sons Honda 929, it was just picking up speed. My friends grandson was just killed on the same bridge heading north about a month ago on a bike when he was sideswiped by a car at about 1 am, he ended up in the river. RIP.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

250's nothing. you get down in the deep deserts, the deep mojave, you get guys hitting 330 on some of those straightaways.
