14+ inches of rain in the last seven days. The telemetry would indicate that of this, about 12" (water equivalent) fell as snow above 7000' and there was a lot of snow at 5500' through this period. Should be pretty white up there!

After the beating that the glaciers took this summer they deserve all the help they can get!
Mount Baker, the volcano, gets an insane amount of snowfall. What's crazy to me is that the 1998-1999 snowfall record of 1,140 inches was set at 4,200' at Heather Meadows, so you can only imagine how much more snow fell on the higher elevations of Mount Baker itself . This paper estimates that in 1998-1999 the Rainbow Glacier on Mount Baker received between 1,850 and 1,928 inches of snow and the Easton Glacier received between 2,244 and 2,322 inches of snow.
Snowfall is difficult to measure, but it sure would be neat if we had more recording stations or SNOTEL locations, especially ones located at higher elevations.

We encountered a surprising amount of snow today on Methow Pinnacles. Probably 4 ft or so just below the 7500 ft summit!

Mt. Baker has recorded 7.9" of rain in 24 hours and 17.8" in seven days. This 24 hour total is doubtless one of the heaviest on record. Unfortunately, most of this fell as rain below 8000-8500'. I would expect significant road and trail damage.
