On Saturday. Saw a bit of it the last time, but it was just a gray glow from here. I wasn't even sure if that was what I was seeing. Read The Cremation Of Sam McGee first though. smile.gif Or, The Ballad Of The Northern Lights. The Northern Lights

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

Amazing weather today. The show tonight should be pretty sweet, especially for anyone braving the elements tonight.

I just walked to where I thought they should be visible and there was nothing. The last episode was much more spectacular when viewed farther up the road, in Tonasket and Oroville. It's not horribly cold temperature wise, but the wind is blowing which makes it not very pleasant to be out.

The flare slowed down unexpectedly looks like it would be visible in Kamloops bu not here, so it goes.

According to the "Planetary K Index" (indicates magnitude of geomagnetic storms), it's been mostly a dud so far. https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/planetary-k-index

Instead, we had a nice wind, which is still blowing.

Here's more explanatory information for understanding/predicting what the chance is of seeing the aurora, from the same gov't science site that I wrote about, above. Geomagnetic Activity -- The Kp Index and the NOAA POES Auroral Activity Level The K-Index would need to get to 4 or greater to get something worth watching this far south.

Saw some great photos of it from the south shore of Lake Superior. Lots of red colors.
