Its good to see that the USFS has closed the road to Johnson Ridge off the Beckler. There were ATV's and UTV's tearing up the meadows after all that work was done up there. Some people just don't get it.
What meadows were they tearing up? Meadows off the road somewhere along the way? It's been awhile since I've driven that road, but it's hard to imagine they can get to Johnson Ridge itself.
That trailhead got way too crowded and nowhere to park or turn around when parking was full. That's probably a big reason they closed it. That's been the plan for quite some time anyway, wasn't it?

Well that makes total sense; seasonal. I was thinking the end of the road, beyond any logging opportunities.

We like to drive up the road in the snow until it gets too deep and then snowshoe up to the trailhead, nice views along the way. It’s ok with me that they have closed it because the four wheelers try to see how far up they can go, then get stuck and tear the road up.
Ah, OK. Well not OK - Timberghost indicates work has been done; I am assuming meadow restoration after logging. And that is certainly a bummer.
