That's an Oregon trailhead, and here's an article about parking problems down there.
Yesterday on my way back from Cabin Creek, I saw a long line of cars parked on the side of the freeway near Denny Creek. People got out of their cars and walked half a mile or more on the freeway to get towards wherever they were going.
Probably nobody in here needs to be reminded to park with common sense, but just in case. Also watch out for humans on the freeway. Go to less crowded places when you can.
What time were you there? We drove past at about 1pm and cars lined the onramp from exit 47 but the interstate itself was not impeded. Didnt look that bad to me, but i might have been at a different time. Way more civilized than the mid fork IMO.
I went by Denny Creek around 4 pm yesterday. It was much more civilized today.
The sheriff came to Cabin Creek today, presumably to enforce snow park passes. People were parked creatively there today but nothing dangerous.
I was at exit 47 around 2 pm on Sunday and it was a mess. USFS officer was there with a thick stack of paperwork that he was sticking on windows. Cars parked on both sides of the WB onramp to I-90. It was tough to thread my F-350 through the mess let alone a semi, plow truck, fire truck etc.
