Maybe this should go in the "quote of the day" thread, but it fits here. It was a sign hung in the office of a dear friend, who was quite an accumulator: "THE WAY I SEE IT" It's difficult for people to get rid of junk. They get attached to things and let them define who they are. If there's one thing I've learned in this business, It's that you are what you can't let go of. Yup, a tandem can really move! Has great aerodynamics.

Not here still using a bulletproof 70+ year old Craftsman replaced the capacitor and cord and blades of course. They really do not make them like that anymore steel forging milled steel top and have molding joiner blades from my father in law.
What a coincidence! I have an old 10" Model 113 Craftsman table saw, capacitor start, that I bought used in 1980 or so. It seemed old even then, but over 40 years later, and after a lot of use, it still works perfectly and has the original motor (untouched).

You can say that again. I have an old Sears Craftsman 6" joiner that feels like it weighs enough to require a truck to move it but it hums like new after all this time - no chatter at all. I wish the original motor still worked but I swapped it with a good replacement and it will last way beyond my lifetime.
