no more bugs. cavers and bats. I never thought a small animal like a bat had such an impact on bug populations. These small creatures nasty as they appear are some great regulators of the bug population in some states. I was visiting the Cedar River Watershed Education Center recently and noticed a bat flying around in circles outside a bat house in the middle of the day. I asked one of the staff about it and was told about this fungus. Apparently they become disoriented and active during times they normally rest as stated in the article.
