I've been making friends with a stray cat for a very long time. She started gaining weight, getting friendly, and finding places to nest, then brought 7 tiny babies into the world. I wanted to share some photos because they're adorable. Pixie is adjusting to her new life as a house cat. She's really enjoying warmth, shelter, good food she doesn't have to catch, love, catnip, and every kind of toy. She's getting spayed next month and her kittens all have forever homes. wub.gif

If it weren't for cats I would have been completely alone all Winter. Luckily one of them talks, so we have good conversations.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

C-Path - you're a saint for taking in a stray and supporting her thru a litter delivery. How's your Parsley taking it?

That's why I'm selling NFT kittens! For $10,000 you can never pet them, but you get an email saying they're kittens.

Parsley and Pixie have a lot in common, they both think very highly of themselves. Parsley decided a long time ago that she's the queen and nothing anyone has done has ever changed her mind, so a new commoner arriving is almost beneath her. Parsley is 19 years old and likes to nap and enjoy her comforts, Pixie doesn't get in her way, so they're good. smile.gif

Cats are funny, my Mom had 2 cats that I inherited...they are both females and indoor only cats and being up here in the North Woods, they have been isolated and are scared of everything. My 14 year old male is not really that aggressive, but they are scared to death of him and won't leave the room. If so they run, he chases and it sounds like bloody murder. I was trimming some new green feet insoles for my boots and saved a small cut off section and my cat loves it, especially with the hard wood floors, probably more than any "cat toy" he has had...the simple pleasures in life. smile.gif

There's a workaround for that. I've learned a lot about "cat mojo" from Jackson Galaxy, a former Animal Planet cat expert. Highly recommend his programs. Here's his video on how to do cat introductions.

Thank you for giving mama a home and taking care of her.

Pixie's little sprites are 3 weeks old, and turning into kittens. They're getting more active, and curious.

I think my neighbor is going to take Pixie in as a forever home. We've been taking care of them together and she fell in love with her. I fell in love with Pixie too, but she and my cat Bear are afraid of each other and not getting over it, and Pixie is happier next door. I'm taking her to get spayed in 3 weeks and I'm so delighted she's going to have a happily ever after.

Thanks for sharing the progress pics. So cute! It's gonna be hard to separate them, no?

One of them has a curly tail, like a corkscrew. It's maybe 1/3 the length of a normal cat tail. Just like mom. I'm delighted because Pixie's tail is short and bent in two places, I thought it had been slammed in a door. I'm thinking about calling that one Corky. And then another would be Bess.
