Does anyone know of any place there the DOT posts info about clearing of highway 20 or 410? The old webpage that had the info before is gone. I haven't been able to find any current info anywhere else.
Thanks.

They're sending out email updates on Highway 20 every Friday - you can sign up for the list here, put in your email then choose "North Cascades Newsletter" on the next page after that.

Last Friday April 22nd's update was:
Quote: | Hello fellow North Cascades enthusiasts!
The eastside crew cut a single path to the summit of Washington Pass to wrap up the fourth week of 2022 spring clearing. Snow depths of nearly eight feet on the highway at the top of the pass means the sno cat and loader need to knock down and move snow to about 6 feet for the blower to clear a path on the roadway.
On the west side, crews reached milepost 153. That leaves about 10 miles between the two crews, but there is more than clearing the road ahead before the highway can be reopened to traffic. The entire road width and shoulders must be cleared and any pavement and guardrail damage must be repaired. We know many of you are eagerly waiting for your first trip over the North Cross this year, but we’re still too far out to say when we will reopen for sure.
The road remains closed at the Ross Dam Trailhead at milepost 134 on the west side and Silver Star gate at milepost 171 on the east. If you plan to recreate behind the closure points, we strongly recommend that you consult the Northwest Avalanche Center for current backcountry avalanche conditions.
We’ll keep sharing updates to the 2022 spring clearing on Flickr, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Safe travels and have a great weekend-

This past Sunday was great biking there, coming from the west side. The road was clear and dry right up to the end of the cleared road just short of mile 154. So almost 20 miles of fantastic car free mountain vistas. Then 5 feet of snow.

@WSDOT_North tweeted about the opening as well as reporting progress on the work for clearing the road

The WSDOT Twitter account @SnoqualmiePass appears to be posting updates on progress for clearing Cayuse and Chinook passes. I think this might be because the people that work to keep Snoqualmie open during the winter are the people that clear 123 and 410 in the spring.

It's still chains requarred going over some of those roads down in the lesser plowed locations of the east bound lanes south of the pass.

How's the traffic when they open it usually? I was thinking about camping along the East Bank and probably wouldn't be past Diablo until after 1130 or 12.
