Walk-up Permit Lottery
" The walk-up lottery at the Leavenworth Ranger Station is suspended for the 2022 season until further notice. Walk-up quota will be randomly released back into the recreation.gov reservation system at a designated time (to be determined), one week at a time. Thank you for your patience and flexibility during this crisis. We will continue to reevaluate and will resume the walk-up lottery when it is safe to do so."

That's great news! I'd say you've got a better chance of stumbling across available permits when they get released on Sundays than you do winning the original lottery in the first place. I got a permit this way last year. Sure beats packing everything up and driving all the way up there only to lose out. Now you can win or lose in your own home on Sunday, and have a wider range of plan B options if you don't get your permit.
Yeah, trying to change the title of the thread to reflect the subject better. It's just unwieldy.
