I have only been able to find a single trip report that mentions this lake. I'm wondering if there are adequate spots to pitch a tent at the lake. The one trip report does include a picture but it's hard to tell if there's any flat ground...Thanks!

There are a couple more photos of the lake in the linked photo album on my trip report for Elk Lick. There's also a couple photos of the basin above the pass heading up to Point 6206. I remember thinking that might be a place to camp.

Thanks, I missed that link in your trip report. Re basin heading up to Pt. 6206, do you mean the one that is due west of the peak?

OK can we shut the hell up about it now.. There is a reason only 1 report on it.. And yes I know it's not that great later in the season..sensitive area not seeing more then 20 people a year so yeah it'll you can consider not blasting a report to wta or social media that would be niiice...or just take a bag of trash and spreat it around..and crap everywhere These will be the DIRECT result of a nice report on wta and social media.. . so try a few pm message's and viola.. And can u take down those shittey pics? Thanx!

This type of language just makes me aggressively curious. I just added it to my summer Todo list.

Looks like about 36 miles with 12,500' of gain and loss to tag Elk Lick Lakes too. Though that misery schwack up from the Duck doesn't look very fun. That ridge run between Point 6206 and Elk Lick Mountain does though. Would probably work best to camp at 10 mile on the duck and again at Elk or Dee depending on how tough the schwack is. Unfortunate all of this is in the NP and requires permits. Though I'm sure if one were to call the ranger station they'd be more than happy to issue backcountry permits for the area.

BPJ - They're talking about a lake on the Olympic Peninsula.

https://www.reddit.com/r/PNWhiking/comments/uqb8zg/does_anybody_know_dee_lake_in_olympic_national/ If this is you, my condolences for your uncle. If this isn't you, you'll probably find the answer here. Also, r/PNWhiking has 20,000 members; r/Hiking has 1.7 million. You're more likely to find the answer you're looking for if you ask in both places and cast a wider net.

If it's not them it's pretty ironic. In which case someone was probably lurking this forum and saw this post and was curious and posted there asking for details instead of here out of fear of angering the curmudgeons. Like the person who has been angry-PMing me about Dee. I PMd the Redditor route info.
