I like my Suunto DO EVERYthing watch! Look into that and you'll be surprised what you get.

I was looking at those watches at REI but they are kinda expensive and I'm saving up for a new sleeping bag.
Do they have any inexpensive do everything watches?
I'm not certian how to answer that statement. They are expensive. They last a very long time though!!!!

I guess I'm a little apprehensive. I had two HR monitors before and one broke and the other one was really complicated to operate.
I know I need a compass, I sure will consider one of those watches though. They do have the coolness factor.
