Did I miss something important or perhaps humorous? The 'Politics" link takes me to the "http://scarsofexile.com/phpBB/" where I can learn more about acne.

Loggerman screwed up and didn't pay the domain bill.
Things should be back up and running sometime tonight.

I have looked at the site, and it appears to be a series of monologues. That doesn't seem to slow them down.

Maybe we can have an emergency political forum on this site in the meanwhile. Could we call it the Prickly Pear? This might attract more people with an east of the mountains viewpoint.

It looks like Scars of Exile is back up and running.

Yes its back. The fix to the political jones is in.
It came down to being a big mess. While we figured out that it was all my fault, it took awhile for the server admin to get with the program. Ask me how something this simple could turn out to be this complicated, and I couldn't tell you.
However.....we have another year until I forget to renew the domain again, so have fun in the mean time
I will be switching it to enwh.net in the future, I already have the domain. So you will have to change your favorites at some point, and I know ENWH is on the top of all your favorite lists
(I hit 1000 post again.....and its politicaly involved...I will never learn...)

Woohoo! It's back up!
Thanks, Loggerman, for wading through the hassle to get it running again.

Shorn of the power to carry on with personal attacks, few on the left choose to engage. Claims of desire for "dialogue" "engagement"
and "community" demonstrably only apply when there is an environment tolerant of abusive posting, clean that up so that all which remains is ideas, and they're fresh out.

Speaking as someone from the left, I say you are dead wrong.
One of the reasons I shunned the site that one of the very first threads there was a massive personal attack....on me.
I found the ugliness on the site rather off-putting.
Is it even still around? I thought it went down a few weeks ago.

What did yout think would be the first topic on the ENWH after the DC shutdown.....????
You were an outspoken opponent of the DC, and also one of the top three posters in the DC. Hard knock life, if it makes you feel better, there has only been two subjects that your named has been involved with, and there is a rule about complaining about people who arent there, plus they got deleted. Made that rule just for you, so feel special.....doll

I'm just saying that I was pretty put off by the tone of the place. I'm glad the site is so successful, and even gladder that it has its own place to exist now.
It's my opinion that NWhikers is back to being a great hiking site, which is its main purpose.

Yep
Changing everyday. Software upgrades constantly. Even a ENWH Chat Room WOOOOO Slow down the technology train! We have it all. Not satisfied with having arguments on a forum based software, do it in REAL TIME!!
Dont have anyone to argue with....??? Old Loggerman man will argue with you, doesnt matter with the context or content, with a small donation to the ENWH Org, I will sit down with you and call you every misspelled slandorus term that this little hick knows. $1000 dollar and up donations receive an additional gift of the infamous "ENWH FU" T-Shirt.
Bells and whistles folks, thats what its all about, and we got em all!!
