You sound like a prime candidate for a pop can alcohol stove. Then again, if you wait a couple years you may end up with the refillable / pump free / lightweight bottle convenience of a pop can alcohol stove with the power of white gas. Only caveat is it will probably be $200. MSR's Radical New Stove

Is that the one that ML had at the gear showing social. That it took those guys awhile to figure out, then lm had to take one for the team and burn the crap out of himself to light.... I could live without them myself...

I think I had one there, and maybe a Jetboil and a Giga. The pop can stove doesn't blow my dress up, personally.

Hmm, I'm not sure. They're not hard to light. Fill with denatured alcohol, click lighter. Don't touch while lit, like every stove. hockeygrin.gif One of many links on the net

alcohol stoves are the best things invented since that blue gel shaving cream stuff that comes out as a blue gel and immediately turns into foamy white stuff right before your eyes. That stuff is cool. So are alcohol stoves. They're very worth, and I'd hate to loose mine. However, if you're one of those freaks who likes to spend all your time at camp cooking and sauteeing and chopping up stuff when you could be relaxing instead, then an alcohol stove isn't for you. All it does is boil water. That's my kind of backpackcountry cooking.
