Often when I post I need to go back and forth editing my post. I've been criticized for it, actually. I'm using a chromebook currently. It would be great to have an area to first draft a post with Pic's, URL's, etc. before posting. Seamless. Just a thought.

Just do it in Word or some similar program. That's how I've done it longer posts. You can;t preview it this way obviously.

For drafts you can compose a PM to yourself and view/edit it under sent (unread) messages.

Or use the "Preview" button. Review/edit your post. Then use the "Submit" button when you are done editing.

The problem with preview is it won't save your draft. When you send a PM to yourself it will save it and you can continue to edit it later by going to sent (unread) messages (just don't open it in your inbox or you won't be able to continue to edit it via sent (unread) messages).
Another option is to edit an old post and use it for drafts.

That's a good tip Tom. I can see that being useful.

Or what I have done sometimes in the past on say a trip report or something is to work on it, then if I don't have enough time to finish it in one setting I just copy/paste everything into notepad and save it. Then when I come back I start with a new post (since I didn't save the first one since I wasn't finished), and just paste everything from notepad in and resume.
Repeat until done.
This approach also gives your a "backup" so to speak of your post. Especially if it's a long trip report. If your post somehow mysteriously disappears (I've seen that once or twice), you can just copy/paste and repost.

Thanks Tom & all. I'll experiment with your ideas.
