I have started blogging about the food I take while hiking/backpacking, mostly paleo/primal and it's all designed to be eaten without a stove (although you most certainly can). http://www.musthikemusteat.com/ I also wrote a post on the places I like to eat before/after hikes in WA and OR that are paleo/alternate diet friendly. http://www.musthikemusteat.com/must-hike-must-eat/ I hope you enjoy them!

Your dehydrated cole slaw recipe looks good. http://www.musthikemusteat.com/eat-your-veggies/ I'm always looking for ways to add some more vegetables. Thanks!

Great blog! You're recipe for dehydrated cole slaw inspired to take some on my next trip! I also want to try your paleo breakfast no-grain granola recipe.

Still plugging along with the paleo (gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, etc.) recipes. Always looking for feedback and suggestions! Managed to eliminate the last grain (rice) this summer with additions of some African diet mainstays. http://www.musthikemusteat.com/recipe-index/

These are great, thanks for posting! I'll definitely be using some of your recipes on future trips, as my backpacking food is often sorely lacking in nutrition.

@JeffreyH You are very welcome! And I'm glad to hear you love the chocolate granola. I have to be careful off season not to indulge too much. I made so much this summer (and then had to cancel several trips) I'm still working on what I have left! It's addicting. smile.gif
