Does anyone know where there is a supply of wooden snowshoes here in the pacific northwest? I'm looking for anything from a modified bearpaw design to the classical Huron and Ojibwa styles of shoes, but most of these shoes (new) are sold in the upper midwest, Canada, and back east, and have to be mail ordered. Every once in a while I find myself in some antique store or junk shop and sometimes I see some tattered or raggety old snowshoes, but more often than not they are wallhangers only. If anyone has a clue as to where to begin searching in Washington state, I would appreciate the heads up.
Thank you,
Cliff
