Count me among the hordes that descended upon Choral and Gopher recently. At least six others were up there since neek signed in and my visit yesterday including the group cartman mentioned, mtn climber, his son rocknclimb and John Porter with one of his dogs. 2017 might be a record year on Choral since the register was placed in the 1985.
There were couple of big years in the late 90's with some outward bound students.

Looks enticing...That time of season when one mutters, "Next year I'll get there." (I actually say that eternally. ) Nice to see the register with a name of one of my fellows in Cashmere, who is related to Hit The Trail! Good stoke.

Two people on that register are related to me by blood, another by marriage and I ski with the mother of another one that is not related to me. Entiat always was sort of inbred.

Here is our 2013 trip into Choral where we were the first party to sign the register since 2001 all though many people don't often sign registers including me, Steve signed it there seems to be a discrepancy between the current register and the one from 2013. Choral Peak / Anthem Creek Basin.

Strange, it's definitely the same register. Must be a skipped page somewhere. I saw entries from 2004, 2009, 2012, 2013. The drive is nearly 5 hours from Seattle so I wouldn't expect a ton of visitors, this year is probably just a fluke.

Back in the day, the Mountaineers would routinely schedule a weekend scramble outing of Choral Peak. It's nice to see folks getting back into the Entiat. Over the years and before so much burned, we took several multi-day October larch outings there. Some of the happiest days of my life.
