Hey all.. I live in Port Angeles and am having a really hard time finding people to hike with. I mainly hike with my wife; it's a goal of mine to branch out and meet new people...I don't care if you are young or old (I am 27), as long as you want to get out and enjoy the mountains/coast that's cool with me. Mellow lowland hikes are fine, but I do have extra crampons, snowshoes, ice axes, and helmets if you want to get adventurous. For more mountainous terrain this time of year, I'd feel most comfortable with somebody who has taken an AIARE course (I have). I do possess an extra beacon shovel probe if you don't have them; we could practice avalanche rescue up at hurricane ridge if you feel rusty. River valleys, mountains, coast - the peninsula is rad, let's get out there! - Joe
taking a picture or two is OK, but living through phone cameras is weird

Try contacting Erin Reading at Disco Bay Detour in Discovery Bay. She is a very knowledgeable person about meeting others and doing outdoor hiking/climbing on the Olympic Peninsula.
